Exactly what it says on the tin???

I like those big ones on Walking Street but they can be a bit pricey and some people say have had bad guts eating there. Not been for a while but the one where the ladyboys catch shrimps with fishing rods on Beach Road isn't too bad. Some of the Thai street stalls on Central Pattaya Road near TOPS that open at night have some great cheap seafood but I'm never quite sure what I'm getting unless I stand over the cook and watch what they are doing.

Alternatively for good cheap seafood TOPS takes some beating and watching the cooks is an event in itself if you don't mind pissed up farangs making cunts of themselves - depending upon the time of night or day.

There is NO guarantee with seafood, remember that and you wont be disappointed. Nang Nual is my choice, but its not the chefs fault if the prawns/crab/bplah grapong/muscles are off.

i dont think you can beat nang nual on walking street , good and inexpensive in my opinion .

Have to agree with you Alex, I ate there three or four times during my stay and enjoyed every meal.

Nang Naul it is then, it's on the left as you're heading down WS and you can sit outside overlooking the sea, yea?

Think tha's where i was going last time...

its actually on the left and the right , the right hand side looking over the sea as you head towards bali hai pier , but i prefer sitting on the left hand side of the street in the air conditioned part of the restuarant .

My favourite is Sea Zone at the beginning of Walking Street. The food is excellent and not that expensive at all! Their deck over the sea is the longest so great view. Also have the best Irish Coffe you have ever tasted.

This platter for 2 from Seazone, about 1000bt but maybe less I can't remember, great food though!

sorry guys, having problems posting pics here!

If you can travel to Naklua you will find the best Seafood restaraunt around
Mum Aroi...............beats any on Walking St for prices and food

Follow Naklua road as far as you can go and you will see the sign, just before the sharp right turn that leads back to Sukhumvit Road

A bit too much lettuce for me.

Nang Nual is excellent, but I have also had excellent fish meals in Sailor Bar - a lot less choice though.

Totally agree but for clarifications on your directions you carry on straight past the sharp right turn till you get to the dead end ( Hence Moom aroi)..car park is on the right.

You can dine day or night..Daytime experience is looking out over the harbour watching the Thais dig for cockle etc and as a forefront to the view are a couple of old fishing vessel hulls..At night its a lovely place to take in the evening breeze, watch the tide come in and listen to the Thai band..

Whether day or night there are two things that make me return to the place:-

1. The SA Wines in the fridge..I think it is Hartenburg Chardonnay..It is pricey at 1500 a bottle but last Wednesday my son and I polished off 4 bottles during a lazy afternoon..( No wonder I can't remember the name..) Although for the cheap charlies they do have Jacobs Creek shite aswell..but it will ruin the food which is far far better than on WS...

2. There is no rush..If there are only two of you get a table by the sea that has sunloungers and you can chill out as long as you want..Snack a bit, drink a bit, relax..and continue..We were there maybe 4 to 5 hours...The restuarents on WS aint gonna let you chill out at night for that long..

If you've got transport, head out to Ban Saray, turn right at the lights just before turn-off to Pheonix and follow the road down to the waterfront and turn left into the large parking area.
Great seafood and a lot cheaper than anything in pattaya, jammed full of Thai's so you gotta reckon it's good and cheap.
It is a fishing port so the stuff comes fresh off the boats.
