I have a friend looking for a 4' x 8' slate top pool table. Somewhere between the 20,000 to 30,000 baht price range is what heis looking at, but will consider all.

Tell him to go see the people in soi Bonkot just off 3rd road...... Thai company sells refurbished tables. The husband works for the Royal Thai Navy and has the contract to supply and maintain all their social/sports club tables and sells all their old ones, completely refurbished. I had a terrific one from them in my old guesthouse bar.

What sort of price does a good one go for?

I paid 26,000 baht 6 years ago for a 4 X 8 refurb polished granite top, not slate, plus all equipment. Dont worry about the granite tops..... we were in the Jomtien pool league and everyone thought it was about the best table in the league!

There is another pool/snooker shop on S'vit, (Boss Snooker) east side, between Klang and Tai but much more expensive. Their 4 X 8 granite top tables were 35,000 baht and slate top 75,000...... again, 6 years ago. www.bosssnooker.com
