Has anyone been there recently? if so is it any good?

I've always seen it advertised on TV and might give it a try.

Nice place for a quiet night away from the hustle of central Pattaya. Having said that the menu is a little limited compared to what it used to be. They used to have Philippine bands play there but I had my three year old with me last time I visited, so had to leave by 9pm and missed the band.

The Flippa band is awesome, don't go there solely for the food, you may be disappointed.

yes the band are very very good , the lead guitarist in particular .

i reckon possibly the best guitarist in pattaya including lam morrison .

the food menu has been reduced recently , but its still not bad , drinks a tad more expensive than ordinary bars but if you go with some friends and partners you can have a very good night in there . myself , fondles , sawa d and bruce mangosteen and partners had a great night there only 5 or 6 weeks ago .

can you smoke inside?

Yes, def a good night out. For another good pub of this sort but with a bit more Thai flavor, try Gum Bpun, which is a music pub on Soi 2 (NOT Second Rd. but Beach Rd. Soi 2), which is on the left as you come from Second Rd. just past the beerbars. The music is every bit as good as Moon River and they even change band members and singers throughout the night so you end up hearing a wide variety of songs and styles. They have good food as well.

A couple of friends and myself with our Ladies took ourselves off to The Moon River pub one evening back in April arriving about 7.30pm so we could have some grub before the band started. I cannot remember what we ate but remember that the food was better than your average pub grub in this country, I was drinking litres draught Chang which they dispensed from a chiller unit they parked by our table
The place was actually deserted when we arrived and by the time the band come on there was probably only about 30 people in there. The band were OK but relied very heavily on Abba tunes, but they did sing a blast from the past in the form of Living next door to Alice, Chubby Browns version and our table sang “who the fuck is Alice” in our best Middlesborough accents, much to the amusement of the other 24 people in the pub.











About 11pm the heavens opened and we thought we were going to end up having to stay the night but eventually well after the band finished it stopped and we went outside and caught a baht bus back into town, Some picture of a flooded Beach rd
