I use it on an almost daily basis and it works great for me. I even had the cheek to download the turbo version through Limewire which I use totally for free.

LimeWire PRO 4.10.9 is the version I have installed and is fast as fuck, but mainly good for single songs. A lot of the vids and progs downloads are often corrupted or have viruses so I use a torrent for those, like Rapidshare.

My missus watches these Music Channels on TV and every time she hears something she likes I download the track for her and stick it on her Ipod or telephone. Very quick and handy

If you cant find what you want on Limewire, "Ares" does pretty much the same, but I find the free version a bit slow. They have more members than Limewire so more chance of finding what you want

I stopped filesharing after the big "pirating" bust at Ohio University in the US. I believe the fine for all involved was about $3000 each.

I thought limewire was ok, I tried it this weekend and got viruses in the first 2 songs I downloaded. After that I just uninstalled it.

If I'm not downloading with rapidshare I use DC++ pirate.gif

Limewire Pro is OK for odd tracks, but for albums, videos etc I just love Vuse. At the weekend I downloaded the complete Beatles, everything they have ever recorded including live performances and early stuff. 3.14 gig and perfect quality thumbsup.gif thumbsup.gif Took about 5 hrs, but just left if running in the background. Nor rar files or CD mounting to open comes straight as Mp3 files playable in any format thumbsup.gif

Never had a virus problem with Vuse and its very user friendly and more importantly its free. The more you download and seed the quicker it becomes thumbsup.gif

I just started downloading The Complete Beatles, thanks for the tip, Mr Pastry. Please employ your favourite ladyboy to suck your gonads at my expense.

I strictly use torrents after hearing too many horror stories about filesharing. I've heard good things about Rapidshare but since I have an aversion to paying for any internet service I have never checked it out.

I have used Limewire for years. Lost a PC to it about a year ago. Not sure from virus or all the porn that you can get for free whistling.gif whistling.gif

just make sure you use protection thumbsup.gif
