Will be in Chiang Mai with the wife & 4-year old daughter in March for 3 or 4 nights.

Anyone have recommendations for hotels somewhere near the night bazaar (Tha Pae area I think) for up to 1500 baht a night ?

Thanks

I highly recommend The Raming Lodge (photos in link), it is right on Loi Krao road, so right at the heart of the nightlife, night market and a two minute walk into the old town...A really nice hotel, good restaurant, sauna and massage on site, very helpful staff and super service. You can easily get good deals with them too Raming Lodge Direct

The Pornping Tower Hotel would also fit the criteria and is fairly respectful...mostly asian guys playing golf etc:

Depending on your dates you can get a room for around 1200...60 second walk to Night Bazaar.

You can easily get free WIFI in Chiang Mai. I stayed at this really nice place called Dash in the old city. It has a very nice restaurant too. The food was just divine.
