Tonight I decided to give this place a try as I love BBQ food. I ordered from Door2Door online and the food was with me in about 15 minutes.
For those of you that don't know, it was recently opened by BM Cronus who also has the very successful China Garden and Jolly Fryer Fish n Chip shop on Soi Lenkee, this place is right close to both of them.

My order consisted of

Quote

Order Items
Quantity Item Name Price Subtotal
1 28001 Lone Star Texas Grill (Side: 1 person) 180.00 THB 180.00 THB
1 28024 Half Smoked BBQ Chicken (Side 1: potato salad
Side 2: coleslaw) 250.00 THB 250.00 THB

SubTotal : 0.00 THB
Service Charge : 43.00 THB
Delivery Fee : 50.00 THB
Total: : 523.00 THB

In customary Cronus style the portions were huge. I only ate half of the starter for one and could just about eat half of the half a chicken.

The starter consisted of 2 chicken tenders, two hot wings (flatties), two breaded mozarella sticks and cheesy potato skin all served with a lovely home made salsa and a tangy lemon mayo dipping sauce.

On to the main, The chicken was lovely, had a superb glaze and nice smokey flavour and the meat itself was very moist, so cooked just right. Half a corn on the cob which was perfect and still too hot to hold when I unwrapped it. The main came with a choice of two sides and I went for potato salad and coleslaw, both of which were delicious.

Only one slight critiscm is that the wings were not crispy enough for my liking but that is a personal preference and they tasted fine.

So on to the marking, points out of five

Delivery time 5/5
Quality 5/5
Portion size 5/5
Value for Money 4.5/5

Overall a good experience, next time I will be dining in and trying the Ribs and maybe some of the Mexican dishes if I can fit them in.

I was there a month or so ago for lunch. Ive been to several Lone Star's even this location...
The booth we were sat at had no CUSHION which made having horriable service by our server even worse to deal with.
I love Lone Star, however I will NEVER return to this location even if I were in the area & craving Lone Star.
I will pass my full experience with my family & friends via Facebook & Twitter
Going over to the Esso Gas Station buying a pre-made Burrito & pop it in the microwave would be better then this Lone Star Location!!

LOL funny thing is, this has nothing to do with the Lone Star chain of Steakhouses in the land of the free, home of the brave. Remember the Alamo :gathering:
