I have toyed with the idea of posting this, but as one of my closest friends out here and as his best friend Bigleg is banned from this forum, I felt it my duty to share this utterly devastating news for his friends around the world who would want to know. Lee Spencer Mansfield, known as Kolobos, co -owner of this forum and owner of Nois bar was tragically killed tonight in a motorcycle accident in Soi Khao Noi. There is no need to go into detail of what happened only that many of us tonight have lost a close friend.Lee, was a larger than life character, loved by many and of course the est piss taker around. I know many of you will be as shocked as I am. My heart goes out to his family, his lovely girlfriend Chongdee and obviously all the people who were close to him. There willmany of us shedding bucketloads of tears over this. I still cannot get to grips with it. All I ask is for us all to think abou tthe times we spent with im. Goodbye Lee, you were a friend, advisor and one of the nicest guys I have ever met R.I.P

That's terrible news, I'm so sorry to hear it. I only ever met him once very briefly unfortunately.

Lovely bloke, only just stopped shedding tears myself, can't sleep thinking about it so having a few beers in his memory. To think I was planning on a visit to say tara before heading back to blighty just seems so ironic now and that he paid tribute to Mark Hogan, my namesake by holding a memorial pool match for someone who also died in much the same circumstances. Rest in peace mate.

Kolobos was really larger than life. Reading his posts makes it feel like I really knew him personally. This makes me reflect on how fleeting life is. I will retire this year--I can work many more years--but who knows how long I have. This post proves the point.

Really sad. R.I.P., Kolobos!

Never met him, but puts all the petty bickering on here into perspective.

RIP.

Lee was everything a 'Bloke' should be and one of the few people who had my compleat respect and admiration. The world and the expat community is a poorer place without him.
RIP Lee.
