  1. Ais, true or DTAC

AIS, 12Call, for me. Top up at the machines if I need to extend validity, from Family Mart if I'm in one or from my Bangkok Bank account.
  2. BA 009 LHR-BKK scum class

    Double post.
  3. BA 009 LHR-BKK scum class

I haven't been on one with the new Business Class seats yet. Is the mini bar refrigerated? Had the cup noodles once. No flavour and not worth the effort. Some nice snacks at the bar on the A380 flights.
  4. Bite Me Bistro On 3Rd Road

Nice gesture. It deserves a post of its own as it could easily be missed.
  5. Want anything from the UK

I've got 64 kg including hand baggage in a few weeks, but plan on travelling hand baggage only. First time I'll have done that.
  6. Want anything from the UK

64 kg is a good lot. British Airways Business Class perhaps?
  7. Just noticed the post numbering has disappeared. It did this in the last upgrade and you restored it fairly easily I think. Any chance you could do the same again?
  8. Thanks for the work put in. Is there a way to unfreeze the menu bar along the top so it doesn't follow me down the page. It's obscuring the top of the post when I select go to first unread post in a thread. I'm running Win10 Home and Firefox 54.0.1
  9. EVA Air emergency exit row

My technique, although not with Eva, is to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before airport check in opens. There may well be a queue of like minded people looking to bag an exit row seat, so ignore the check in queues and go to the ticket desk where hopefully there's no-one waiting. Ask the staff there for your preferred seat and Bob's your uncle. You've just jumped the queue.
  10. Where's good value at the moment?

Do you need/want parking, pool, breakfast etc. Can make a difference to what would be recommended.
  11. Taking a push bike to Thailand

Oman Air might be another option, and there are flights from MAN being plugged for £326 during May at the moment.
  12. Taking a push bike to Thailand

Etihad cut the limit on Economy Deals and Economy Saver tickets to 23kg recently. Emirates also cut the limit on their Economy Special tickets to 20kg (although I don't see these offered much). Economy Saver and above are still 30kg.
  13. Taking a push bike to Thailand

The dimensions you give are well within those mentioned here: https://www.emirates.com/english/help/faq/214958/baggage-allowances-for-sports-equipment They also give 30kg allowance for all but the cheapest economy tickets, and fly 3 times a day from Manchester. If you're near the airport, nip in and talk to them.
  14. Gulf Air

Not saying he was lying, just trying to understand the mechanics of how he got in. I might want to use the method if I can't get in using the means I know. They've devalued the system a couple of times in the last few years - less miles being earned for most tickets, and more miles required for rewards.
  15. Gulf Air

You made me check in case I'd missed a change in policy, but Skywards Silver still only qualifies for lounge entry in Dubai, not outstations, as far as I can see on the website. There's several other ways to get access, so maybe he used one of them or had struck some other deal. https://www.emirates.com/UK/english/skywards/about/membership-tiers/membership-benefits.aspx
