  1. Thaismile prices

booked a flight form Sydney to khon kaen return. left on the 27th july and just returned on the 4th September. there was no difference in the fare price form Sydney to Bangkok or Sydney to khon kaen. so the flight Bangkok to khon kaen was free and also had 30kg check in baggage allowance. had the expected experience when checking in at khon kaen , the boy lifting my bag on the scale got all excited telling the check in girl I had 27 kg and the girl proudly telling me I had 27kg . she looked a bit disappointed when I told I could have 30kg. they would not book me through to Sydney so I had to check in again at Bangkok. I do not know what the problem thai air are having in swappy but there was a shortage of staff at the check ins causing delays in getting checked in which was also delaying flights. the cost of the flight was $849 aust which was not to bad as I booked it on the 25th july 2 days before the flight
  2. Flight Price Are Coming Down Bigtime

just booked a flight with Philippine airlines for early next month from Sydney to Bangkok. had a choice of either a 16hr stop over in manila or a 2 hr. I went for 16 hr. the price is aus $510 return. which is a very good .
  3. Question for our US Citizens

she will have to show the passport that she used to purchase the ticket when checking in. if there is less than 6 months on the passport she can not check in online as the software will not let her. this may vary between airlines. I flew to Australia with 2 days on my passport and the only problem was I could not check in on line
  4. Renewing drivers licence

don't forget the licence starts after your birthday so wait till it expires before renewing. doing it this way you can get almost 6 years.
  5. Renewing drivers licence

did not need a medical certificate when I renewed my license 2 months ago an khon kaen but this varies where you do it
  6. Renewing drivers licence

to renew a license you need residency letter from immigration to renew it. so go to immigration and ask, they may give you it
  7. go to google and type "download you tube" , you find plenty of free software to download.
  8. Can I Get A Work Permit?

I have seen a few doing it so it is a case of just doing it. the only problem would be if another trader complained about it
  9. Queen Vic

stayed there a few times the last about 4 years ago and found it very good
  10. Retirement Visa .

the requirement is in thai bht not UK pounds so it is 800,000 bht in the bank for the required period or 65000 bht pension a month . how they decide these figures is anyone's guess but it has been like that for a while. this is for a retirement extension. I just add that if you have a visa extension because of retirement work is not permitted
  11. it would be hard to qualify as who with a sound mind would want to live in a shithole like the UK
  12. Lets see if I am reading this right. Someone from any European country can go to the UK say they living there and get full NHS benefits. A UK citizen who has been living abroad returns to the UK to live and is not entitled to NHS benefits unless he has payed into it for 7 years . that seems fair
