  1. Chantaburi has loads of great cycling routes. The coastal road with dedicated bike lanes is stunning. http://bicyclethailand.com/bicycle-riding-on-the-chantaburi-coast/
  2. Well the quote function is now working but I am also getting notification email if someone likes or quotes a post. Edit - I can now edit posts (couldn't before). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. They are useful for proof of address when banks etc require it. Get it translated and notarised, I need this as I don't have any utility bills etc in my name. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I've got a few other things to do but plan to do it early next week. Be interesting to see how we get on as I will be doing mine in Rayong and I guess you will be doing yours in Banglamung. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. A couple of my friends have got a yellow 'house' book for proof of residence and also an ID card issued by the Amphur. Has any one here done this and got any tips for obtaining them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. That's one of the reason I stick with Apple products. Great for folk that just want to switch them on and use them without any faffing about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If using Lazada, check whether the item is "In Stock in Thailand" or is being shipped from another country, most likely China. if coming from "In Stock in Thailand" delivery is brilliant, usually the next day. If coming from China it's a lottery
  8. Do you use Kodi, it has all of the above on it and auto updates on mine (an X8 I think). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just look on google play for the latest version of the app you want and install it (for showtime, movie box etc) test it is working then delete the old app Kodi seems to update itself on mine, I get messages at the bottom right of the screen when I open Kodi showing which apps or repositories are updating. 10. Personally I can't see it, I think demand will continue to drop as more electric cars and alternative energy sources become more efficient, but I am far from any kind of expert on this.
  11. There is a lot coming up all over now that marginal fields are no longer viable at current prices. There are over 200 platforms in the Gulf of Thailand alone that are coming near their end of life.
  12. Last trip for me in December, join the unemployed masses in January. Very quiet out there at the moment and if something does come up it will be on a much reduced rate I would suspect. Time to relax a bit and enjoy the time off, no point worrying about something you can't change. Putting the feelers out with companies more involved in renewables and decommissioning work at the moment. May need to look at relocating to Isaan, swap that gold encrusted teak table for nice little concrete number..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Good for you, I'm sure it sounds bizzare to some but I can certainly relate to it. Couple of years ago i was ready to start building a big fcuk off house on a large plot of land just outside of Pattaya. I was back in the UK visiting my mum when she suddenly passed away, a blessing really as she was gone with demetia and had no quality of life. Her passing put a lot of things into perspective for me. I realised that the only reason i was going to build a big house was to impress others, I didn't need it or actually want it. Ended up buying a much more modest sized place which has turned out to be a much better family home as we spend more time together. As has been said before, as I've got older i give less and less a toss about what people outside of my immediate family think of us and just do what we want when we want.
  14. Yup, certainly not a Thomas Cook holiday that one. thanks for the pics.
  15. Ok, got it now. Found an app on Kodi called MorePower, streams in 5.1. Thanks for your help Phil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
