Has anyone had this before and if so, did it go in the end ??

I have had a constant ringing in my ears for 2 weeks now, and a lot of headaches, far more than normal. I looked it up on the net, but it could be caused by a whole number of different things, so a little confusing,

I have it, and the hearing doc said it had something to do with my age. Some days worse than others. Especially at night, when all is quiet.

You should go to a hearing specialist, to see whether or not to go to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. :welcome:

Had it years caused by loud noises 'drilling ,grinding, shooting etc. In my case its permanent, went to a specialist says its not cureable. No pain with it just a permanent ringing in my ears some days worst than others.

Its something you get youst to although your far more aware of it on bad days or reading someones post about it, there was a bit about a guy in one of the UK papers last week. this guy in America got so unbalanced by living with it he put a gun to his ear and pulled the trigger.I guess this is the definitive cure. Not recomended.

And with all the wax build-up, the bullet slid in easier too.

I had to get surgery to repair it mate. Nothing to drastic. They drill a hole in your skull, into the brain cavity, and repair it from above. It's a cunt recovering, takes around 8 months.

Are you sure it's your ears and not the phone on the blink laughing.gif

Had it a few times but only for short periods, maybe a few hours max. I think it would drive me bonkers if I had it permanent

One of the causes can be impacted ear wax so maybe getting your ears syringed may help.

I was just about to put a post up about this,I've had it a few days now.

I've checked around online a bit and the general consensus is there is no cure.

I find if I keep myself occupied I don't notice it but it gets quite annoying when I'm in the house and it's all quiet.

I've had my ears syringed on a regular basis so I don't think it's the build up ear wax and I haven't been around loud noisy machinery all my life.

If anyone hears of a cure please let me know.
